Visual Pleasure: Psychoanalysis is the idea that all people have feelings, desires, memories, and unconscious thoughts. It is a set of therapeutic techniques and psychological theories originating from Sigmund Freud. Psychoanalysis is essential in understanding how the cinema has been working from the past and how it continues to produce its magic over the years. It starts by looking at how the films reveal, reflect, and showcase sexual difference interpretations, which are socially established to determine ways of relating to the spectacle. Psychoanalysis is therefore essential politically because it is a weapon that demonstrates how conscious patriarchal society builds film form.

The paradox of phallocentrism in the film industry portrays a woman as a castrated man. World because phallocentrism is based on the idea that the male sexual organ is the main element in the social world organization. The cinemas portray women as lacking creatures because of their absence of a penis and that they make up for this lack by the desire to make good and raise children. The meaning of a woman in the film industry has always ended at that role and nothing more. It does not progress to the world of language and law unless only as a memory of lack or plenitude material. Her image is that of bearing a bleeding wound, and she raises her children to show her desire to have a penis (Ritland, 2018). She stands to signify the male other in a patriarchal culture in which man can enjoy his obsessions and phantasies by imposing and commanding them by language on the image of women who remain as the meaning bearers but not the creators of the meaning. Phallocentrism raises interest for feminists frustrating them by this order which is a form of beauty and spectacle. Oppression brings out the challenge of fighting unconscious structured roles that favor some people.

The Cinemas’ have changed over the last few years by adapting to how the unconscious mind sees and looks at pleasure. With the recent advances in technology, the production of cinemas has moved from forming the basis from investing large amounts of capital to a more art-based. The emergence of big film production industries like Hollywood arose from manipulating visual pleasure. Visual culture can be practiced. For example, by looking at my mother’s face, I can generate feelings of self-awareness and hence love for her (Williams, 2017). This is the love affair caused by linking image and self-image, called the mirror moment. By projecting an ideal ego to special projects outside the body, it gives future generations and links with other people. I draw my originality, or my cultural influences are mainly visual culture. Growing up, I observed the behavior and traditions of significant people in my life and based mine on those. This text is connected with other texts we have read because it discusses how the cinema offers a variety of pleasures, how they can satisfy or please the customer by understanding how the human brain works. It explains how humans can be manipulated by influencing their unconscious desires, and the cinemas use this knowledge to enhance user experience through psychoanalysis.

In conclusion, Psychoanalysis plays an integral part in the advancement and growth of the film industry. It is responsible for the improvements and has helped structure the film industry. Film industries must continue using psychoanalysis because they can only capture and understand their audience.
